In his Will, Raja Krishnath articulated his desire to “house the institution in an excellent, extensive and beautiful manner. The course of studies would include Humanities, Science, Law and Medicine, an extensive and handsome college or House of learning for instructing the youth of this country or of other countries…..shall be taught all the English, Bengali, Persian and Sanskrit and English science of medicine and law”. In compliance with this vision, the college is committed to dissemination of secular and advanced education as a mode of community development, and contributing to physical and intellectual development through extra-curricular engagements.
